The Best Sensitive Skin Care

By David Maillie Sensitive skin is a relatively common condition. People with this skin type tend to have frequent allergic reactions to a variety of products. Redness, rashes and skin irritation are common symptoms of sensitive skin. Eczema is a common condition related to allergic reactions. This skin type also tends to burn easily in the sun. Sensitive skin is believed to be hereditary and there is no real way to cure it. You can reduce the irritation caused by harsh products and irritants. Many people react to ordinary products. You may feel itching or burning soon after application. Other common irritants are skin care products, soaps, laundry detergents, fabric softeners and cosmetics. Choose dye and fragrance free varieties of all these products to reduce allergic reactions and irritation. If your skin reacts easily to products, you will need to choose your soaps and skin care products very carefully to avoid reactions. Look for hypoallergenic products that dont contain harsh chemicals. Any products you use should be fragrance free, as the fragrance is a common irritant. You should choose cosmetics carefully. Most cosmetics contain a wide range of chemicals, in addition to coloring and fragrances that cause irritation. Chemicals are used to preserve make up and increase the shelf life. Look for all natural ingredients and make up that is made for your skin type. Mineral make up is an excellent choice. It contains no artificial ingredients that can cause a reaction. Dry skin is a common complaint. If the skin is very dry, it may show the signs of aging sooner. Fine lines are a common complaint and can be treated in a variety of ways. Keep the skin moist with an oil free moisturizer that is made for your skin type. As with other products, look for a lotion that contains all natural ingredients, rather than a lot of chemicals. Apply moisturizer twice each day, in the morning and before bed. An occasional facial peel can help reduce wrinkling and other signs of aging. Many people with sensitive skin also suffer from acne. This presents a challenge as many products made for break outs contain harsh chemicals. These can be very irritating and make the condition worse. Look for natural products that dont contain harsh chemicals. Use only cleansers that are gentle and made for your skin type. Avoid washing the skin too frequently, which can cause irritation. To soothe irritated skin, you can apply an ice pack on the inflamed areas twice each day. Dont pick at blemishes, as this irritates the skin and spreads pimples to other areas of your face. Drink plenty of water to flush the skin and help keep the pores clean. Stay out of the sun whenever possible. When you are out in the sun, always wear a non oily sun block to protect yourself from overexposure. For bad cases of acne, gentle skin care products may not be enough to clear the blemishes and improve the condition. You may need deeper exfoliation, such as in a facial peel. Estheticians Choice is the perfect product for sensitive skin. This product contains TCA, a non toxic chemical that has been used for the past 30 years by estheticians and dermatologists. In addition, this product can be diluted for a gentler, surface peel. Estheticians Choice can be purchased at www.bestskinpeel.com Complete directions for use are included. You will notice an improvement in the texture of your skin right away, unlike other products which can take months to work. This product works for acne, wrinkling, skin discoloration and scarring. Celexa Antidepressant - The Treatment Choice For You?

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Athlyn_Green] Athlyn Green Celexa Antidepressant is a selective sorotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). This drug is used to treat depression, anxiety, and eating disorders. It is an effective medication for treating depressive illnesses. What effect does it have on the brain? How does this drug work to combat symptoms? The antidepressant Celexa works by increasing the supply of serotonin, which helps to restore the chemical balance in the brain. It is a highly selective inhibitor with no apparent affinity for other transmitter receptors. It is believed that brain chemicals influence mood. This medication is usually taken once a day, with or without food. Good results are generally achieved within a few weeks of starting on this drug and it is considered safe to take on a long-term basis. Side effects from taking Celexa antidepressant are usually mild and will ease as you continue taking the drug. Usually these effects taper off within a few weeks. Common effects include dry mouth, nausea, diarrhea, sweating, tremor, dizziness, decreased sexual drive, and insomnia. Weight changes may occur, as well. Use of SSRIs can result in sexual function difficulties for up to 60% of patients taking them. If you are experiencing unwanted side effects, it is important to let your doctor know. Caution is needed when taking this drug because risk of bleeding has been associated with combining the antidepressant Celexa with aspirin or ibuprofen. You should not take this drug with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs). If you decide to discontinue using your Celexa antidepressant, you may experience irritability, anxiety, headaches, confusion, and insomnia. This is a process that should not be attempted on your own. Many people seek to avoid potential side effects and drug interactions and have turned to herbal remedies when seeking relief for symptoms of depression or anxiety. Natural remedies offer tangible benefits: they can be used with greater safety and relative ease, and are cost-effective, often proving to be less expensive than traditional medicines. What do herbal preparations contain and are they effective in treating anxiety and depression? Could a natural remedy offer relief and work in a similar fashion as the antidepressant Celexa? Natural supplements incorporate an impressive list of ingredients, specifically formulated to address malfunctioning neurotransmitters and brain impairment. They restore balance and enhance brain functioning. 5-HTP (5-hydroxytryptophan) has been clinically shown to significantly improve depressive symptoms. SAMe (S-adenosylmethionine) can reduce signs of major depression. Huperzine A may prevent the breakdown of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter. (Loss of acetylcholine has been shown to be a primary feature of several disorders of brain function.) Ginkgo biloba combats depression, valerian treats mood disorders and depression, passionflower is an aid in combating nervousness, while chamomile reduces anxiety. Combined with other vitamins and minerals, specialty supplements, enzymes, amino acids, and herbal extracts, natural remedies work to calm the nervous system. Ingredients act in powerful ways without the unwanted side effects experienced with prescription medications. If you have been suffering adverse effects from [http://www.beat-your-depression.com/depression_medicine.html] Celexa antidepressant use, herbal preparations offer a safe and effective alternative. It is always important to discuss treatment strategies with your doctor. Thankfully, herbal remedies can make the whole process easier, offering additional options. The antidepressant Celexa has helped many people suffering from symptoms of depression and can be an important aid in alleviating depression. For many it has been well tolerated. Whatever course you choose, your depression is a treatable illness. Celexa antidepressant can help you on the road to recovery; or, alternative natural remedies may prove more to your liking. Private Practice Marketing: 3 Secrets I Wish I Knew When I First Started Out

By Jeff Herring I don't know about you, but I am still waiting for my first class in graduate school about how to develop, market, and run a private practice. I'm also still waiting for my father to have a discussion with me about the facts of life. My wife and I have 2 kids, so I guess I figured it out for myself. Just like I had to figure out for myself how to market and build a practice. So here are three secrets I wish I knew when I first started my practice. Secret #1 - Grow Rich in a Niche A niche is simply a narrow and specific area in which you want to specialize. The opposite of having a niche is being a generalist. In the private practice therapist world, I call it "Death by ICF." Most therapists will tell you that they work with individuals, couples and families. Well, who doesn't? Doesn't every one? If you say you work with individuals, couples, and families, who don't you work with? Individuals, couples and families makes you sound like you are
just a garden variety plain vanilla therapist. It tells potential clients nothing about what you do. It makes no one say "That's the person I want to talk to right away!" Choose a niche in which you enjoy working. What really gives you a kick to do? What do other people marvel at you doing well? Then make sure it is self replicating. Recently I was talking with some friends at lunch and the
subject came up about what would need to happen in the
economy for each of us to continue to do well in our respective
careers. I realized that all I really need to stay in business is for people to keep getting married and having kids. #2 - Return your calls I know it sounds so simple to do, but it's also so simple not
to do. I'm always stunned by the number of counselors that tell me about how many days old messages they have on their desk to return. I have a rule that I will try my very best to return a call in the same day I received it. Sometimes it gets a little stressful when I have 8 calls to return, five more clients to see, and a family that for some crazy reason wants me home at night. Here's how I reframe it to help me handle it better: "I've worked very hard for a long time to get this many people to want to talk with the likes of me......." #3 - Return new referral calls within two hours I'm even more shocked by the number of clients that have
told me that they were given 3 names, I was the first to call back, and one of the others took a week and the other one never returned their call. Unbelievable. At this point in my practice, as a result of these tips I am giving you, usually when a new client calls specifically and only for me, I still get back to them within a couple of hours. As you are building your practice, many of your clients will be shopping around for a practioner. Be the first one to call back. Interpersonal Skill Building -- Yank The Suckers & Weeds

By Althea DeBrule According to the National Gardening Association, suckers are rapidly growing shoots rising from an underground root or stem, often to the detriment of the tree. They can be very irritating and annoying for they bear no flowers or fruit. Rather than cut them off, one way to get rid of them is to roughly yank the suckers off to remove the cells and tissues that cause re-growth. Even if you are not a gardener, you know a lot about weeds. They are everywhere and tend to take over, crowd a plants root system, and provide a chaotic and unsightly mess. While there are many kinds of weed-killer sprays on the market, orchard growers hesitate to use them for fear of damaging the trees. Unfortunately, businesses have suckers and weeds too. These unattractive thieves rob the organization blind by ruining its competitive advantage, and choking and stifling its people. To avoid these outcomes, try applying a heavy layer of protective interpersonal mulch to effectively stop all but the most persistent of suckers and weeds. Here are four suckers and weeds that are typically found in the business garden, along with ways to yank them out before they root too deeply: Office Politics Far too many workers put their faith in office politics and believe their careers will either soar or plunge as a result of them. Office politics are a fundamental part of the daily grind. Sometimes people who cannot succeed on their own merit play them, and oftentimes, workers who pursue personal hidden agendas at the expense of others practice them. How do you keep this damaging sucker from taking root?
Learn and understand how the office political game is played. You cannot afford to ignore office politics; whether you choose to play the political game or abstain is up to you. Use ethical influence to impact others without being sucked into the game. Strengthen professional relationships with others in your company and industry. Increase your awareness of how the company workswho has informal power and clout, and the unwritten as well as written rules of engagement.
Jumping to Conclusions We often criticize others for jumping to conclusions or assuming the worst about a situation that may be erroneous or is not justified by the facts. When we jump to conclusions, we tend to label others based on prejudice or stereotype, interpret their behavior as a result of assumptions, and narrow our objectivity by becoming overly critical or intolerant. To uproot this weed, you have to continually dig deep into the soil of your mind and heart and repeatedly yank it out:
Think of ways to jump to positive conclusions or consider alternative aspects of any problem, issue or situation. Refrain from speaking or acting before hearing all the facts. Stop wasting precious time and energy on what you think may have happened. There may be a perfectly good explanation for why a particular action was taken. Ask for it. Avoid the tendency to pigeon-hole others or use labels and stereotypes.
Wishy-Washiness Do you have a boss or co-workers who just cant seem to make of their minds? One minute they model commitment and confidence, promise to support and back you up; the next minute they hesitate, become indecisive, and do not know the right direction to take. You will need both hands to handle this slippery weed:
Focus on whats important. Ask for advice and insight. When you have considered all the available facts, move forward with prudence and good sense. Put some stakes in the ground. Take a stand and stop straddling the fence. Clearly outline any roles and expectations; then follow the plan.
Double-Talk In the business world, double-talk looks like excuse making and blame shifting. It often involves the deliberate use of ambiguous, vague or confusing language that is spoken or written in an earnest, sincere or meaningful tone. Yet, when you reflect on what you have just read or heard, you realize it is a mixture of sense and nonsense, drivel, rubbish, and just bunk! When someone uses double-talk, we are left with a bad taste in our mouths. So, how do we get rid of this poisonous weed?
Dont do it! Understand that to continue to engage in double-talk will negatively impact your character, integrity and reputation in the end. When you hear double-talk, try to discover motives, hidden agendas, intentions and reasons by listening with an objective filter. Hold yourself accountable for your mistakes and failures instead of making excuses and blaming others.
Dont let pervasive suckers and weeds choke your career and business garden. Dont just cut them out; yank themroot system and all! Youll be more successful if you do. Dating Advice for Women: 7 Ways to Avoid Getting Stuck in the Girlfriend Zone

By Jess Kennedy Williams Dating can be a challenge for many single women. We all know women who have dated the same guy for years, thinking that he is going to marry her. She hangs in there thinking that if she waits long enough, her day will come. The problem is that he probably will not ask her to marry him. She is stuck and there is not an easy way out. Why not keep this from happening in the first place? When you first meet someone you are interested in dating, follow these seven tips to avoid the same fate.

Do not ask him out. He has to pursue you otherwise there is no challenge for him. Men need a challenge. Follow your gut instinct. Even if everything seems to be perfect, if you get a funny feeling that something is not quite right, listen to it. Your gut is almost always right, your heart has no clue what it is doing. Get to really know him before you get physical. Most modern day relationships go way too fast in this area and most of the time it is the woman who gets hurt, because she is the one that gets more emotionally involved. If he will not wait for you, he is not the right one. Know your requirements, needs and wants. If you write a list of requirements and refuse to get involved with someone who does not meet your requirements, you will be much better off. For some odd reason, women think they can change men. You should know by now, you cannot make someone change. He has to be more into you than you are into him. This is a basic rule. Most of the time, people don't want the ones that want them. Do not go for the bad boys all the time. Work on wanting the ones who want you. You will get your heart broken less often. Do not drop your girlfriends to spend more time with a guy. You will be more attractive to him if you are not always available. Besides, girlfriends almost always outlast the guy. Do not assume that he wants the same thing out of a relationship that you want. This is where most women trip up. Communication is the most important key here. The most successful marriages I know of, are the ones in which the guy said "It was love at first sight". If you can tell that your guy is not feeling that way about you, move on and find the one who cannot live without you. Guys know. If it's not a yes, it's a no. Maybe is where heartache lives. Visit The Heartbreak Free Dating Coach at http://www.heartbreakfreedating.com for more tips and tools on how to start taking control of your relationships and stop getting your heart broken. You can also read a free chapter of the book Heartbreak Free Dating: The Must Have Guide for Single Women at www.heartbreakfreedating.com. Electric Chain Saws

By Jennifer Bailey Chainsaws are such powerful tools that we should thank the inventors for coming up with this machine. How chainsaws came into our lives remains hotly debated. Two important contributors to its creation are recognized by the names Joseph Buford Cox and Andreas Stihl. In 1926, Stihl patented and developed a chainsaw and invented the gasoline-powered chainsaw three years later, eventually founding a company that mass-produced them. This type of chainsaw is perfect for simple chores around the home, such as pruning plants, cutting logs for use in the fireplace, and cutting small tree branches. Electric chainsaws are light, portable, and easy to operate, making it an ideal tool for yard work. This lightweight, yet powerful, tool is amps-rated and is normally up to only sixteen inches and attached to a 100-foot power cord. Since you need a power source when using this equipment, it is inconvenient to use it in outside locations where no electricity is present, like in the forest and in deep woods. An electric saw is a low-maintenance tool that is less noisy than most gas models. It is also environmentally friendly since it does not emit toxic fumes to the air; and it is much cheaper that a gas chainsaw. Its drawback, though, is its inability to cut and buck huge trees since it has less power than gas models; as such, gas models are faster in terms of sawing time. If youre the type who loves to work and putter around the yard, then an electric chainsaw is best for you. It is simpler and cheaper than gas saws, thereby saving you time and effort in working around your yard. Chainsaws are extremely versatile since they can finish seemingly endless jobs faster, requiring less time and effort. Caution should always be employed in using this tool. Its proper use and care can save lives, reduce the cost of repairs, and ensure a smoothly and efficiently running tool for many years. Lack of proper maintenance can result in a chainsaw stalling halfway through an important job, resulting in a need for professional repair. Some saws can have their blades replaced by other attachments using the saws power head as a motor. The most common of these attachments are the augurs and circular saws. Chain Saws provides detailed information on Chain Saws, Electric Chain Saws, Gas Chain Saws, Vintage Chain Saws and more. Chain Saws is affiliated with Cutting Tool Inserts. Are You Ready For A Committed Relationship

By Dr Robby Bilton If you desire a long lasting, healthy, and fulfilling relationship with a partner whom you can share life with, then you need to arm yourself with the knowledge of attracting your highest and best partner who will align with who you are. Mastering the right relationships skills is crucial to your success to creating the relationship of your dreams with your loved one. If you start with the right foot, with the right knowledge and understanding of who you are attracting and what you are going into, you can almost insure yourself a long lasting and happy relationship. Intimacy Closeness with a person takes time to develop. And theres more to intimacy than physical contact. Intimacy can mean a hug during a tough time, a smile of encouragement in the face of adversity and compassion when you least feel like giving. Dont abuse or take advantage or the other person. And dont let yourself be abused or taken advantage of. Intimacy takes commitment and sharing. Ask yourself if you will be willing and patient enough to take time to develop closeness with another person. If you find that you cannot even handle your own emotions during a tough time, then it is almost a sure sign you need to work on yourself more before you even commit to a relationship. Are you able to say "No"? You dont always have to be voiceless or agree with someone in a relationship. Be able to say, No and be an individual, too. Ask yourself if you will be able to maintain your unique individuality while in a relationship. Do you find it hard to be alone at times when your partner is not around? Do you find yourself fearful of saying "No" when you really mean it? If you find you have a tendency to shift your centre and focus onto another person to the extreme, then, you would need to work around this and bring about a balance for yourself and your partner. Being in a relationship does not mean you have to change for another person. It does mean giving your partner space, and giving yourself space. Remember you are sharing life together, not taking charge of the other person's life! Do you find keeping in touch a hassle? Many couples tend to make the mistakes of taking each other for granted after a certain period into a relationship. We tend to get so caught up in our work life that we forget that we need to make the effort to keep our relationship alive too. Dont let life separate you too long. With technology today, you can stay in touch with cell phones and email. No need to overdo it and be obsessive and controlling, but do stay in touch off and on throughout the day with quick Hellos and How are things going?. Make the Honeymoon Last. Remember how your felt when you first got together? Do those little things that you did at the beginning and make the honeymoon last. Bring home fresh flowers, shut off the television, turn on some music and dance with your mate, compliment your mate, make dates to go to places you used to frequent (the old neighborhood pizza parlor, a local drive in, a hotel you went to on your honeymoon, etc.). If after reading all these you find these are all hassles, then, you are not ready for a committed relationship. Nuts and Bolts Dont focus so much on the nuts and bolts of who said what, when, how often and why they were wrong. In other words, sometimes during an argument, try losing your memory of who did what, when and how many times in the past. Instead, humble yourself, apologize for having messed up and hug your mate! If you feel youve been pushed to the limit and dont want to try one more time, close the door on that angle of the issue. Take a walk, get some ice cream and cool off (literally). Then return relaxed and refreshed, and open a window to air differences. Trust Healthy relationships involve people who trust one another. One person doesnt get involved in unhealthy risks with a third party or lie to the other. There is an open, positive exchange of trust. So if this is lacking, seek help from a professional counselor, if necessary, and see whats wrong. If you feel stuck in past emotional issues or you find yourself unable to forget your ex from a past failing relationship, you need to resolve this before you think about going into a committed relationship. Are you ready for a committed relationship? Are you ready to settle down? If you meet someone you like today, would you be ready and available for them? The above considerations may help you to decide on just this. Discover how you can easily get your true love on demand by learning the proprietary information in this

Don't Be Scared By Interest Rates

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Martin_Lukac]Martin Lukac Rates are the highest in almost four years. What does this mean? Is it really all doom and gloom? Let's look at what we have been hearing. That with rates up, homebuyers will pay thousands of additional dollars on their mortgages. For example, on a $500,000 mortgage, an extra .5% in interest rate adds another $160 a month to the payment. In thirty years, the increased rate costs $57,000 more. It's a bit more, but it is part of financing anything. Rates go up and down. That's how it works. Yes, rates have been steadily rising -- from RECORD LOWS. If you look at the last twenty years, you will see that mortgage rates are looking pretty good when compared to some of the highest years. You can still get a mortgage, even if rates go up. You may not be able to afford the home you really wanted, but you can afford a home. What is the difference that half-a-point will make for you? Well, you might not be able to afford a $300,000 mortgage, but you could a $285,000 one. The best thing that rising rates has done is emphasized the importance of making smart decisions when purchasing a home. Rule number one -- only buy what you can afford. This is increasingly important right now. Many homeowners have stretched themselves to get into homes that have record high appreciation. They now can't pay their adjustable-rate mortgages and can't sell for what they owe. Buying what you afford isn't just a right now situation. When you are choosing an adjustable mortgage product, you have to look to see if you can afford the worst-case scenario of the highest possible interest rate. If you can't, you need a new plan or a new prospective home at a lower price. You need to thoroughly understand all of the risks associated with different types of mortgages. There is fine print that can kill you. But what is causing most of the "payment shock" we are seeing this year is not in the fine print. You know that an adjustable mortgage will increase in interest rate. What you haven't done is sit down and see how that rate could increase your monthly payments. You shouldn't be scared to go out and purchase a home or take out a mortgage right now. What you should be is wise. Make the right financial decisions for your family based on your budget, what you can afford and what the interest rate is right now. Buy what you can afford at a fixed rate and you won't have to worry about rates going up. If you find that you can't afford what you want right now at the given fixed rates, be assured that rates will go down eventually. Sit on your money and let it build up while you wait for the right time. If you are looking on financing a major purchase, like a home or a car, take the time to educate yourself on all of the available options. Remember that everything is your decision. You aren't stuck with a certain rate, but you can jump into the wrong one. Interest rates will affect you and will affect your budget if you have substantial debt. You will have to make changes. What Happened When My Father Died?

By Bentley Thompson Every time I go to a funeral I am reminded of several things: the pain of losing a loved one, that I (too) am mortal, and also of the conflicting beliefs about what happens when a person dies. This discovery is surprizing, yet comforting. Join me. At one of the last funerals I attended, I heard the preacher said, "Don't cry dear friends, Sister M. is up there right now looking down at us from the bosom of the Lord." At the same time, we were all there weeping our hearts out and wishing that she would come back from Paradise (or from the bosom of the Lord) to be with us again. Confusing! Most people believe that a Christian goes to heaven when she or he dies. Maybe a minute, an hour, a day, three days after expiring the last breath - I don't know how soon after. But this notion raises several questions that had me searching my Bible. I will share some of what I have found with you here. Questions, questions - any answers?
If my dad went to heaven when he died in 1997, shouldn't he be having "hell" up there watching all the troubles his loved ones endure down here on earth. According to the Bible, heaven is a place of perfect bliss, where there is no sickness nor sadness. Luke 20:36 says of those who go to heaven, "Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection." So the question is, Was it fair for Jesus to raise Lazarus (John 11:43) if he (or his soul) had gone to heaven when he died? What would be the point of calling the man (Lazarus, who was Jesus' friend) back from paradise to live on earth again, to feel more pain, hunger, thirst, and heartache, and then to feel the sting of death one more time? That would not be fair. Popular misconception
In struggling with these questions I had to go back to Genesis chapters 1 and 2. I had to find out where my dad went when he died in 1997. I found out that the answer is consistently forceful throughout the whole Bible, actually. In Genesis 2:7 we read, "the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being." (NIV) If you are a student who likes to analyze things, it is very clear that : BODY + BREATH OF LIFE = LIVING BEING (SOUL) When a person dies, therefore, LIVING BEING (SOUL) - BREATH OF LIFE = BODY The body is dust, so it returns to the ground (Carbon, Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Oxygen, and all the other elements) back to where they came from. The breath goes back to God (back to the atmosphere, actually) from which it came. The idea that we have an immortal soul is a lie that is as old as the creation. First Timothy 6:16 describes God as the One "who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light." In fact, God says in Ezekiel 18:20, "The soul that sinneth, it shall die." The devil said it first
When the serpent tempted Eve in the garden the devil said, "you shall not surely die." (Genesis 3:4) Somehow this seems to intimate that we can go on living forever, even though we sin. Well, could this be a reason some people think that suicide is a way out of their problems? You shall not surely die. But wait... here's how I know for sure that my dad never went to heaven when he died. Even the "man after God's own heart" has not gone yet
God called David "a man after my own heart." See Acts 13:22. Yet the Bible says that David is still in his grave today. Let's read it. Acts 2:29, Peter preaching, said, "Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day." Continuing, he talks about the resurrection of Jesus, then says this about David again in verse 34, "For David is not ascended into the heavens..." It cannot be clearer. And think about Jesus... If after the crucifixion His soul had gone to heaven why would he tell Mary on Sunday morning (the 3rd day) not to touch Him because He had not yet ascended to His Father? (See John 20:17) So what happens when we die?
Our bodies go back to the earth - the ground, and our breath goes back to God. We rot and wait (unconsciously, of course) for the miracle of the resurrection. Jesus calls death a "sleep." John 11:11-14 reads;
11After he had said this, he went on to tell them, "Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep; but I am going there to wake him up." 12His disciples replied, "Lord, if he sleeps, he will get better." 13Jesus had been speaking of his death, but his disciples thought he meant natural sleep. 14So then he told them plainly, "Lazarus is dead, 15and for your sake I am glad I was not there, so that you may believe. But let us go to him." My dad fell asleep. He is dead, and will be sleeping until the resurrection. I am so glad he is not in heaven witnessing his loved ones suffer sickness and pain. But he won't be sleeping forever. Concerning the resurrection, the Bible says, "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout...and the dead in Christ shall rise first." (First Thessalonians 4:16-17). This was my father's favorite Bible verse. That's why he never feared death. He knew where he was going when he died AND he also knew what would happen to him next. How to Get the Most Out of Your Relationship

By Wanda Austin-Williams Good relationships take work. I have witnessed many potential good relationships fail due too poor or ineffective communication, an inability to meet each other needs and by having unrealistic expectations of the relationship in general. The fact is, most of us dont know always know the things we can do to improve our relationships. Contrary to popular belief, its not always how much love you have for each other that can predict the success of your relationship, but ultimately it comes down to how conflicts and disagreements are handled. Research has shown that couples who are effective in resolving conflict report being more fulfilled in their relationships and have less incidence of divorce. I will provide you some practical techniques that you can begin implementing today that will drastically improve the current state of your relationship. Perception Vs. Reality We have all heard the saying, Every story has three sides, my side, your side and somewhere in the middle lays the truth. The fact is several people can witnesses the very same event, yet all walk away with a different perception or interpretation of the facts. The same is true in relationships. We all interpret events through our own unique lens. The way we process information is based largely on our past experiences, environment and our own inherent genetic make-up. Believe it or not, this is one of the major reasons why many relationships fail, not just our relationships with our spouse or mate, but relationships with family, co-workers and friends can all succumb to inaccurate interpretations, inevitably causing the relationship to deteriorate. Failing to realize the impact of how ones perception can influence how events are interpreted and received can be the downfall of any relationship. For couples that struggle with this issue, it is important to always question, particularly when conflict arises, if they are being overly negative in interpreting their partners actions or motives, this can be done by searching for evidence that is contrary to the negative interpretation. Oftentimes when this is done, couples find that the stance they are choosing to take on a particular issue is based solely on their own internal dialogue and really has nothing to do with their partner. Search for the positive If I were to ask you right now to list 10 positive traits about yourself, it would probably take you a while to come up with some things; however, if I were to ask you to list 10 negative traits or qualities, you could probably come up with them in 10 seconds flat. Unfortunately, it is human nature to focus more on what is not working in our lives than to focus on what is going well. The same holds true in our relationships; however, if you make a point to focus more on the positive aspects of your relationship and less on the negative, you may find that things arent so bad after all. You may begin to view your relationship in a more positive regard, which will directly affect how you relate to your partner and how your partner relates to you. Scorekeeping is for games, not for relationships Keeping score is a surefire way to kill your relationship. Harboring bad feelings and holding onto things in the past will ultimately destroy your relationship if you dont do something about it. Relationships are filled with both good and bad times, when the bad times occur, you and your partner must be committed to resolving conflict in healthy ways by ensuring that both partners feel that their voice is being heard and that each of you are valued in the relationship for you own unique strengths. Scorekeepers may find themselves winning the fight, but losing the relationship. Self-esteem and Self worth comes from within We all know of someone or have heard of someone who has made a decision to start or continue in a relationship because of what the other person has to offer; money, prestige, fame, etc. It is important to note, that because your partner has those things, doesnt necessarily mean you will be happy. It is foolish to believe that your mate is the only source of your happiness and that the only way to feel complete is to be in a relationship or base your relationship solely on what your partner has. Sure having someone to love and to share your life with can lead to a happier or more fulfilled life, but lets be clear about one thing, it cannot be the only thing that makes your life complete. The healthiest relationships exist when both partners feel whole even before the relationship begins. If you are dependent on your mate to fulfill your every need, you may be setting yourself and your relationship up to fail. The role of your mate is to compliment you, not make you. Self-fulfillment and self-esteem comes from within through personal acceptance, personal strength and self-love. If self-esteem is something you are struggling with, you need to first identify the source of your emptiness and develop a plan to begin to change the way you feel about yourself. The fact is, it doesn't matter how many ways or how many times your mate expresses his love, you will be incapable of receiving it until the internal work is done. An excellent book on self-esteem that I highly recommend is Ten Days to Self-Esteem by David Burns. State your needs clearly and concise Dont expect for your mate to be able to read your mind. As a couple, you need to openly discuss your thoughts, feelings and concerns. If there is something you need or want from your partner, state it in clear and concise terms. You cant hold your mate accountable for something he/she is not aware of. Avoid put down We have all heard the saying Fight Fair; this also applies to how you communicate with your partner. When arguing with you partner, it is important to allow him/her to leave the argument with their dignity and self-respect still intact. Name calling and character assai nations, as I like to call it, will poison a relationship and lead to resentment and hurt feelings. Augments and disagreements are a normal part of any relationship and the purpose is to help couples resolve differences and to reach new levels of understanding. The goal of an augment is not to always to win, as Dr. Phil puts it, If you win, then your partner loses which will ultimately lead to a lose/lose situation for the both of you. In closing, maintaining a happy and healthy relationship can be hard-work. However, when you are able to reach a point in the relationship in which both partners feel validated, valued and successfully able to meet each others needs, the level of happiness and fulfillment a happy relationship can bring, is well worth it. If their are things you can do to improve your relationship, start today, you may be surprised at how far a little maintenance can go. How Do You Know If A Guy Likes You?

By Tonja Weimer What are the signs that a guy likes you? How can you know what he is thinking? And why is it so confusing? There are lots of reasons why a guy is hard to read. Here are some of the forces that may have shaped his behavior: * Role changes It's hard to tell if a guy likes you because the role of the male has been significantly altered in our culture. The rules for man-woman relationships used to be clear-cut. Today, there is no definitive dating and courtship blueprint. This change in customs gives everyone more choices, freedom, and...confusion. Men are hard to read because they aren't sure what their role is. What can you do as a woman? If you are interested in someone, be friendly, interested in what the guy has to say, and nurturing. * Men are vulnerable It's hard to tell if a guy likes you when he withholds signs of emotion or interest. Research studies show that men take longer to commit because they take the breakup harder than women do. Women may find this hard to believe but the truth is...men are more vulnerable. Therefore, they are often more cautious. * Men in love In general, it's hard to tell if a guy likes you because men will hold off showing or allowing their feelings. When they fall, they fall hard. Men consider their girlfriend or wife to be their best friend. Women consider another woman friend to be their best friend. Most men love and like their romantic partners more than women do. The above are some of the reasons men are hard to read. Their coping and recovery skills are different from those of women. So, what are the signs that he might like you? Here are ten ways you can tell: 1. You see him standing across a room and he smiles at you. 2. When you look back several times, he is looking back at you and trying to make eye contact. 3. He threads his way through a crowded room to get near enough to say hello to you. 4. Men take roughly 15 minutes to decide if they want to date someone. If the guy stays and talks to you longer than that when you first meet him, he is probably interested. 5. He asks for your number or email address. 6. He contacts you and asks to see you. 7. He shows up wearing shaving lotion or cologne and you can smell it from a distance. 8. He's wearing a new shirt and he has a fresh haircut. 9. He's never had a dog but when he comes to the door he loves your dog. Ditto for your cat. 10. When you go out, if you run into any of his friends, they know who you are. If some of the above ten behaviors are being exhibited, then you can look forward to getting to know this guy. Good luck and have fun. Apple iPhone - Irresistible Gadgetry

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Richard_Rojas]Richard Rojas The long anticipated release of the Apple iPhone is scheduled for Friday June 29, 2007 at 6pm in each US time zone. The anticipation has been mounting ever since Apple CEO, Steve Jobs, announced the Apple iPhone during his keynote address at Mac World 2007 in San Francisco, CA. The kind of hype surrounding the iPhone hasn't been seen for a new product announcement since, well, the Apple iPod. This is really no coincidence, since Steve Jobs is a master at stirring up rabid anticipation around new product launches. It also helps that Apple usually comes up with revolutionary product concepts that wind up changing how the world uses technology. Just think back to the Mac, iPod, and iTunes. An iPhone prototype was kept in a Plexiglas case at the Mac World show like some sort of religious relic or maybe a talisman from another galaxy. Fascinated attendees swarmed the display case, but could only stare in wonder at the mysteriously beautiful object encased within. Sorry, absolutely no touching was allowed! This was cruelty in the extreme since the allure of the Apple iPhone rests in the pleasure of cradling it in your hands and using your fingers to navigate its touch-sensitive screen. The Apple iPhone will be released first in the US first, and then in Europe during Q4 2007, followed by Asia in 2008. This is one of the few instances in recent memory where a technologically advanced cell phone is being released in the US before the rest of the world. Eat your heart out Japan! Were now seeing a cultural shift where the cell phone has become a fashion accessory. There are fashion shows that prominently feature cell phones along with matching clothing. The extreme in cell phone as status accessory, are gold-plated and diamond encrusted cell phone models selling for thousands. Cachet is the bottom line. Regardless of the iPhones shortcomings, some of which are may prove to be critical, there is no question that the iPhone will be a huge success and demand for it will be off the charts. The demand for the Apple iPhone is already intense and the first shipments will be sure to sell out quickly. The only important question remaining is will the Apple iPhone take its place alongside the Mac and the iPod as iconic products or will it fizzle into obscurity like the Apple Newton and the Cube? Richard R. Rojas covers the PDA and cell phone industries. Weight Loss Motivation - How To Get It And Keep It

By Peter Murphy These days it seems like everyone wants to lose weight. Whether it be for appearance issues or health reasons, it is becoming quite the trend. But we all know that it is not always easy to lose weight. Weight loss motivation is one of the hardest types of motivation to acquire. Why is that? First of all we need to have food to survive. It is not something that we can just put away and never pick it up again. So healthy eating is one goal that we need to set for ourselves. This goal will give us a tool to weight loss motivation. Another goal that we need to set is for exercise. You can't just cut down the food intake, you also need to exercise and raise your metabolism rate. One mistake that people make when trying to lose weight is that they deprive themselves of all the foods that they love. Wrong! You can have anything in moderation. If you try to deprive yourself of the foods that you love, it will back fire on you and you will end up eating more than normal. Also, it will de-motivate you if you have the mindset that you can never have that favorite piece of chocolate cake again! So setting goals is probably the first step in weight loss motivation. Set realistic goals for yourself. If you think that you can realistically stand to lose 15 pounds then write it down. If you think that you can start that goal by running 1 mile per day, then write it down. Maybe you can only walk 1/2 mile per day. Whatever you think you can do realistically, will be your new goals. Just do not set them too high. Make sure that they are goals that are possible to meet. It is a good idea to write the goals down and keep them where you can look at them daily. This will remind you of what is important to you and why you are wanting to achieve weight loss motivation. Reward yourself when you lose a pound or two. Pat yourself on the back, buy a new sweater, or do whatever it takes to make yourself feel better (no food rewards, though!) A reward must be something that you desire. If it isn't, then it is not a reward and it will serve no purpose. Out of all the reasons to get motivated, such as financial gains, workplace motivation, etc. Weight loss motivation seems to be the one most sought after and the most difficult to obtain. It can be done. It will eventually become a habit to do the morning workouts and replace the old habits in your life. Peter Murphy is a peak performance expert. He recently produced a very popular free report that reveals how to crush procrastination and sustain lasting motivation. How Promotional Merchandise Can Drive Your Business

By Praveen Samra Promotional merchandise is available in many formats, from badges, pens and keyrings to clothing, mugs and umbrellas, all of which are usually imprinted with a company's name, logo or message. When used imaginatively to develop solutions to marketing challenges, promotional merchandise can help drive your business by increasing brand awareness, generating trade show traffic, improving employee retention and more. The impact on your brand image can be significant with recipients of well-targeted promotional merchandise gaining a more positive overall image of your business. As a result, they are more likely to recommend your business to others and give you their custom. Promotional merchandise can also have a significant effect on increasing trade show traffic. A US survey* found that 71.6% of trade show attendees who had received an item of merchandise could remember the name of the company that gave it to them, and that 76.3% had a favorable attitude towards the company as a result. By including a promotional product with a pre-show mailing, you can therefore greatly increase the number of visitors coming to your stand. This in turn will produce more leads and ultimately more sales. Regardless of the actual or perceived value of the item, most promotional merchandise is appreciated by the recipient for its practicality. Because it is often kept and used on a regular basis, your advertising message will therefore gain repeated exposure without any additional cost. Promotional merchandise can be a great way of making a positive impression on your customers, prospective customers and employees, which can only be beneficial to your business. * Source: 2004 study titled The Effectiveness of Promotional Products in Trade show Settings conducted by Georgia Southern University *recommended suppliers for promotional merchandise, 2bsourced the largest suppliers of promotional products in the uk Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Praveen_Samra http://EzineArticles.com/?How-Promotional-Merchandise-Can-Drive-Your-Business&id=541898 how much does ambien cost

Avoid Food Therapy

By Justin Meyer Depression sometimes leads to weight loss. More often than not, it leads to weight gain. Sitting around and snacking can be very comforting; it is called food therapy. Eating junk food to make you feel better. Ordering in pizza because it makes you feel better. Snacking on chips all day and candy all night. Chocolate is an especially bad, because of the way it interacts with your brain. So how do you kick this habit? There are a couple of good ways. The first one is to remove all junk food from your house. If you live alone, this is easy to do. If you live with others, it is more difficult. What you can do instead, is move all junk food to one cabinet, one that you studiously avoid. However, knowing that the food is available to you makes it harder to resist. That is simply human nature. The second thing to do is begin a hobby that involves your hands. By finding a hobby that you can do with your hands, such as knitting or drawing or even video games, you will be keeping yourself occupied, and keeping your hands occupied as well. As long as they are busy, it is harder for you to snack. Since most people snack while sitting around doing nothing, depressed people are more at risk of over-eating. Another option is to start snacking on vegetables. Baby carrots are perfect for this. Instead of snacking on potato chips or cookies, pull out celery sticks. That way, if you are going to snack, you will do so in a healthy manner and you will find that it will help your depression. Finally, speak with your therapist. Since this is not an uncommon problem, you might find that he or she can suggest other things for you to do, or other ways for you to eliminate this urge. Cephalosporin Antibiotics

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Yury_Bayarski] Yury Bayarski Cephalosporins are the most frequently prescribed class of antibiotics. Cephalosporins are bactericidal agents, which means that they kill bacteria. They have the same mode of action as as penicillins. All bacterial cells have a cell wall that protects them. Cephalosporins disrupt the synthesis of the peptidoglycan layer of bacterial cell walls, which causes the walls to break down and eventually the bacteria die. Cephalosporin compounds were first isolated from cultures of Cephalosporium acremonium from a sewer in Sardinia in 1948 by Italian scientist Giuseppe Brotzu. The first agent cephalothin (cefalotin) was launched by Eli Lilly in 1964. Cephalosporins are used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections, such as respiratory tract infections (pneumonia, strep throat, tonsillitis, bronchitis), skin infections and urinary tract infections. They are sometimes given with other antibiotics. Cephalosporins are also commonly used for surgical prophylaxis - prevention of bacterial infection before, during, and after surgery. Classification of Cephalosporins Cephalosporins are grouped into "generations" based on their spectrum of antimicrobial activity. The first cephalosporins were designated first generation while later, more extended spectrum cephalosporins were classified as second generation cephalosporins. Each newer generation has significantly greater gram-negative antimicrobial properties than the preceding generation, in most cases with decreased activity against gram-positive organisms. Fourth generation cephalosporins, however, have true broad spectrum activity. First generation First generation cephalosporins are moderate spectrum agents. They are effective alternatives for treating staphylococcal and streptococcal infections and therefore are alternatives for skin and soft-tissue infections, as well as for streptococcal pharyngitis. The first generation cephalosporins are Cefadroxil, Cephalexin, Cephaloridine, Cephalothin, Cephapirin, Cefazolin, and Cephradine. Cefazolin is the most commonly used first generation cephalosporin. The others have similar efficacy to Cephalexin, but must be dosed more often, and are therefore not as commonly prescribed. Second generation The second generation cephalosporins have a greater gram-negative spectrum while retaining some activity against gram-positive bacteria. They are useful agents for treating upper and lower respiratory tract infections, sinusitis and otitis media. These agents are also active against E. coli, Klebsiella and Proteus, which makes them potential alternatives for treating urinary tract infections caused by these organisms. The second generation cephalosporins are Cefaclor, Cefoxitin, Cefprozil, Cefuroxime. Third generation Third generation cephalosporins have a broad spectrum of activity and further increased activity against gram-negative organisms. Some members of this group (particularly those available in an oral formulation) have decreased activity against gram-positive organisms. The parenteral third generation cephalosporins (ceftriaxone and cefotaxime) have excellent activity against most strains of Streptococcus pneumoniae, including the vast majority of those with intermediate and high level resistance to penicillin. These agents also have activity against N. gonorrhoeae. Ceftazidime has useful antipseudomonal activity. The third generation cephalosporins are Cefdinir, Cefixime, Cefpodoxime, Ceftibuten, Ceftriaxone, Cefotaxime. Fourth generation Fourth generation cephalosporins are extended spectrum agents with similar activity against gram-positive organisms as first generation cephalosporins. They also have a greater resistance to beta-lactamases than the third generation cephalosporins. Many can cross blood brain barrier and are effective in meningitis. The fourth generation cephalosporins are Cefepime, Cefluprenam, Cefozopran, Cefpirome, Cefquinome. Cefepime is a more gram-negative drug with somewhat enhanced activity against pseudomonas but slightly lesser activity against pneumococci. Cefpirome is more active against pneumococci and has somewhat lesser activity against pseudomonas. These drugs also have activity against nosocomial pathogens such as Enterobacter and Acinetobacter and their use should therefore be restricted to the setting of nosocomial sepsis. Side effects Cephalosporins generally cause few side effects. Common side effects involve mainly the digestive system: stomach cramps or upset, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. These side effects are usually mild and go away over time. Cephalosporins can sometimes cause overgrowth of fungus normally present in the body. This overgrowth can cause mild side effects such as a sore tongue, sores inside the mouth, or vaginal yeast infections. More serious but infrequent reactions that can sometimes occur with cephalosporins include: black, tarry stools; chest pain; fever; painful or difficult urination; allergic reactions; serious colitis. Serious colitis is a rare side effect that includes severe watery diarrhea (sometimes containing blood or mucus), severe stomach cramps, fever, and weakness or faintness. Because the cephalosporins are structurally similar to the penicillins, some patients allergic to penicillins may be allergic to a cephalosporin antibiotic. The incidence of cross-sensitivity is approximately 5Ц10%. Yury Bayarski is the author of [http://www.price-rx.com/] Price-RX.com - prescription drug price comparison website.
